This research is action research with the objectives to study the situation of emergency accidents during the outbreak of COVID-19, develop new ways of caring for patients with COVID-19 and to assess the satisfaction of emergency accident and forensic medical staff on the development of new care for COVID-19 patients in the emergency and forensic accident work, Phon Hospital, Khon Kaen Province conducted 3 phases. Phase 1, Preparatory Phase/Study of the Situation Phase 2, Development Phase for COVID-19 Patient Care in Accident and Emergency Work, Phon Hospital, Khon Kaen Province Implementation of the PAOR cycle,
4 steps, Plan, Action, Observation and Reflection, Phase 3, the evaluation phase of the development of new COVID-19 patient care development in accident and emergency work, Phon Hospital. To provide emergency personnel with knowledge, skills, safety and satisfaction the target audience is 14 professional nurses,
6 emergency care workers, 6 patient helpers, 14 stretcher workers, a total of 40 people who selected
a specific sample (Purposive Sampling). Data were collected using the study tools. These include observations, interviews, meetings, and evaluations of activities. by using a general information questionnaire, the knowledge assessment form on the new way of caring for patients with COVID-19 and knowledge about COVID-19, and the satisfaction questionnaire of emergency accident and forensic staff on the development of new patient care. COVID-19 and create an ER Rally COVID-19 project using the study as 5 bases. continue Evaluated by comparing the data before and after the operation. Data were analyzed with the package program using descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and paired t-test was used to compare differences at the 0.05 level of statistical significance. Qualitative data were used content analysis.
The results showed that after the development of the results of the development of new care for patients with COVID-19, there is a positive attitude in More understanding, confident, seeing the importance of taking care of patients with the new way of COVID-19 and evaluating knowledge and practice before and after activities statistically significant at the confidence level P < 0.05. and the satisfaction of the staff in emergency accident and forensic medicine in developing a new way of caring for patients with COVID-19 was the highest level of 100% satisfaction. and practice, having sufficient knowledge and experience to be able to apply the knowledge gained in the practice of caring for patients with a new way of COVID-19.
