This research study was conducted with the objectives of studying the levels of motivation for the performance of Phuwiang subdistrict municipality personnel, Phuwiang District, Khon Kaen Province. The sample used for this study was personnel working in Phuwiang subdistrict municipality, Phuwiang District, Khon Kaen Province. The number of the sample was 57 people. The instrument used for data collection was a 5-level estimation scale questionnaire. The data were analyzed including frequency, mean, standard deviation and inferential statistics. The results of the study showed that the municipality personnel had a high level of operational motivation. When considering each aspect, it was found that the aspect of being respected was at the highest level, following by working relationship and success in work, respectively. These were the top three areas with the highest levels of motivation. The study results using inferential statistics were found that age and length of work affect the motivating factor of the job, both incentive and maintenance factors. It was found that the age and the length of work were found to have a lot of incentives on motivation and maintenance factors. The agency should encourage employees or officers who have a long working period to receive clear and fair welfare and promotion, and to promote employees of this group to be more efficient in their work. The results of a comparison of opinions on performance motivation were classified by personal characteristics:
