The purposes of this research were to 1) examine the current state level of private school administration 2) propose the quality enhancement strategy for administration of private schools and 3) investigate the appropriateness of the proposed quality enhancement strategy for administration of private schools offering basic education in Pranakorn Sri-Ayutthaya Province. The population studied were 35 administrators of private schools. There were 17 experts having experience in educational strategies, and 15 experts in private school administration. The research instruments included a 5-point rating scale questionnaire, focus group form and assessment form for the appropriateness of the proposed quality enhancement strategy. The statistics used for analyzing the collected data were mean ( ), standard deviation ( ),frequency and percentage, as well as content analysis was employed.
The research findings revealed that the current state of private school administration comprised of 6 aspects including school administrators, instructors, administrator’s administration and management process, innovation and technology implementation in administration and instruction, school-based curriculum, students and student quality. Each aspect was practiced at high level. As for the proposed
quality enhancement strategy for administration of private schools consisted of 60 strategies. Some of them determined their indicators at excellent level and others were at good level. In dealing with the appropriateness of the proposed quality enhancement strategy, each aspect was appropriate as a whole. The appropriateness of the student strategy and student quality aspect indicated the lowest frequencies.
