The objective of this study was to study the needs assessment for development to smart
community and prioritized Nong Yai Community, Mueang District, Khon Kaen Province. Using qualitative
research methods by focus group and Civil Society. The key informants were 40 community leaders and
Village Health Volunteers in 4 communities. The research instruments were the questions of the semi-
structure. Test the quality of the tools by content validity test from 3 experts, Data analysis by using
Content analysis and triangulation methods
The result found that every communities needs to be smart community development regarding
the quality of life in health to be number one, followed by sports, English communication, knowledge of
laws in daily life, economic society and culture. In addition, the community also offers suggestions on
participation between educational Institutions and communities under the concept of educational
