The perposes of this research were these : 1) to study the background of local of Thakhantho community, Kalasin Province 2) to study current situations of the use of local wisdom for the Admistration of Thakhanthowittayakhan School, Thakantho district, Kalasin Province and 3) to study the guidelines of local wisdom integration for the administration of Thakhanthowittayakhan School, Thakhantho District, Kalasin Province. The data of this cultural qualitative research were collected through documentary and field studies. A basic survey, an interview, an observation, and a focus group were used for collecting data. Research instruments were an interview form and an observation form. A research sample were a group of key informants, a group of casual informants and a group of general informant. The research results have revealed as follows :
General Thai wisdom and local wisdom of Thakhantho community, Kalasin Province consists of a field are agriculture, industry and handicraft, traditional Thai medicine, natural environmental management, community fund and business, art, linguistics and literature, religion and tradition, and nutrition.
Local wisdom is generally used for the administration of Thakhantho Wittayakhan School such as school administration, finance, and a meeting of teachers and students parents. This wisdom leads to the development of school curriculum consisting of 8 subject groups are a subject group of mathematic a subject group of Thai, a subject group of science, a subject group of art, a subject group of career and technology, a subject group of foreign languages, a subject group of social studies, religion and culture, and a subject group of health and physical education. The integration of local wisdom for the school’s administration is conducted through a direct application of learned persons’ wisdom a team operation of students, the students’ participation in community activities that are consistent with the 8 subject groups.
As for the integration of community wisdom for the instruction of Thakhanthowittayakhan School, the local wisdom is integrated appropriately into lesson plans of each subject. Instructive instruments are applied for learning arrangement of each subject. The stages of instruction consist of 3 stage are a stage of preparation, a stage of operation, and a stage of evaluation. The results are summarized into advantages and difficulties in order to seek for the ways to improve wrong things that will appear in the next chance.
In conclusion, Thakhanthowittayakhan School applied all the types of Thakhantho community’ s wisdom for managing the instruction of 8 subject groups through the cooperation of teachers and students’ parents and its result is satisfactory.
