The participatory action research was, 1) to study the solid waste management situation and participation in waste separation of household’s representative; 2) to create solid waste management model by the community participation. The sample group selected by purposive method from 178 household which had member lived in the house, and 31 members as group who had been selected from specific sampling. The questionnaire was divided into 4 parts with quantitative evaluate pre- post activity also qualitative for in dept interview. And used AIC as a tool of research. Data analysis using commercially variable computer program, such as frequency percentage mean standard deviation, and comparison of paired t- test
Research result reveals that
1. Solid waste management situation found 1)Solid waste management conditions before using the solid waste management model, most sample groups have an average score that is moderate, average rating 2.69 standard deviation 0.20, after using the solid waste management model found that solid waste management conditions are good, average rating 3.66 standard deviation 0.12. The average score value is significantly altered. (P-value < 0.001) 2)Participation in solid waste management has discovered that before using the solid waste management model, most sample groups have an average score that is low. Average 2.23 standard deviation 0.12, after used after using the solid waste management model found that the participation is good. average rating 3.84 standard deviation 0.10. The average score value is significantly altered. (P-value < 0.001)
2. After the research was done the researcher got the solid waste management model by the community participation. Consists of 5 aspects of development: 1) Developed solid waste management condition; 2) Developed participation of the decision; 3) Developed participation of the practice; 4) Developed participation in benefits; 5) developed participation of evaluation.
