The objectives of this research were to: 1) to study leadership characteristics of school administrators in the 21st century 2) to compare leadership characteristics of school administrators in the 21st century classified by gender, work experience, and school size 3) to study guidelines for developing leadership characteristics of administrators of educational institutions Service Area Office. The sample group consisted of teachers in the United Campus, Wiang Rue Kham. Khon Kaen Secondary Education Service Area Office 208 people using the Krejcie and Morgan sample sample size comparison tables and proportional stratified randomness. The tools used in this time were semi-structured interview forms and the questionnaire was a 5-level estimation scale with a confidence value of 0.92. The statistics used in the data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation, t- test, One-way ANOVA and Sheffe Paired Difference Test. The findings of this research were as follows:
1. The level of leadership characteristics of school administrators in the 21st century in the United Campus, Wiang Ruea Kham Overall, the Khon Kaen Secondary Education Service Area Office was at a high level. When considering each aspect, it was found that all aspects were at a high level, arranged according to the average from highest to lowest, as follows: leadership, followed by vision and in terms of confidence and positive energy
2. The comparison of Leadership Characteristics of School Service Area Office Classified by gender, work experience and school size no different
3. Guidelines for developing leadership qualities of school administrators in the 21st century in Wiang Rue Kham United Campus Khon Kaen Secondary Education Service Area Office 7 areas as follows.
3.1 Vision The administrators should set the vision of the school. Make a mutual agreement to adhere to the same direction and set the direction and goals of educational management.
3.2 Learning and innovation Executives should encourage and encourage personnel to create new ideas and think outside the box in order to achieve success, taking into account the long-term benefits of the organization.
3.3 Communication and community building The administrators should analyze the condition of community problems for development planning. Make a mutual agreement to adhere to the same direction and set the direction and goals of educational management.
3.4 Morality and Ethics Executives should practice behavior until they become used to it and act.
3.5 Confidence and positive energy Executives should be confident easy access outstanding as a leader and make a collective agreement
3.6 Leadership Executives should be knowledgeable, competent, enthusiastic, dare to make decisions and work as a team. allowing others to conform to the vision that dares to express their opinions
3.7 Cooperation The administrators should cooperate in the educational institutions of the administrators, teachers, personnel.
