The objectives of this research were to 1) study current conditions; desirable conditions and needs of transformational leadership in school administrators under Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 4 and 2) study transformational leadership development guidelines in school administrators under Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 4 by Mixed Methods Research. The sample used in the research consisted of 320 school administrators and teachers, including 32 administrators and 288 teachers. They were selected by Stratified random sampling and Simple random sampling. The research instruments were the 5-point Rating Scale questionnaire with Dual-Response Format, Semi-structured Interview, and the appropriateness and feasibility evaluation form. Statistics used to analyze data include frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, Modified Priority Need Index (PNIModified) and Content Analysis.
The results of the research were as follows:
1. Current conditions of transformational leadership in school administrators under Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 4. The overall was at high level ( =4.10). The highest average was Building Shared Vision ( =4.15). Desirable conditions of transformational leadership in school administrators. The overall was at highest level ( =4.74). The highest average was Building Shared Vision ( =4.78)..Needs of transformational leadership in school administrators under Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, were arranged in order from highest to lowest as follows: 1) Inspirational Motivation (PNIModified=0.164), 2) Intellectual Stimulation (PNIModified=0.161), 3) Idealized Influence (PNIModified=0.159), 4) Individualized Consideration (PNIModified=0.153) and 5) Building Shared Vision (PNIModified=0.152), respectively.
2. Guidelines for the Development of Transformational Leadership in School Administrators under Buriram Primary Educational Service Area Office 4, consists of 5 aspects were 1) Inspirational Motivation had 3 guidelines, 2) Intellectual Stimulation had 3 guidelines, 3) Idealized Influence had 3 guidelines, 4) Individualized Consideration had 3 guidelines, and 5) Building Shared Vision had 3 guidelines. The total was 15 guidelines. The appropriateness was at a highest level, an average of ( =4.94). And the feasibility was at a highest level, an average of ( =4.73).
